(Erie County, N.Y.)  – Former Congressman Jack Quinn, Jr. endorsed Chris Jacobs’ candidacy for New York’s 27th Congressional District today.

“I have known Chris for more than 20 years and I am proud of all he has done for this community – as a local small business leader, founder of a scholarship fund for area children, and serving with distinction and dedication at various levels of government,” Quinn said. “In my mind, Chris is the clear choice and we need him to serve in Congress to fight for this region,” Quinn continued.

In addition to serving 12 years in Congress, Quinn served nine years as Supervisor of the Town of Hamburg – the largest Town in the 27th Congressional District.

“I am honored to receive Jack Quinn’s endorsement,” Jacobs said.  “Jack has an incredible record of service to the people of this community and I am honored to receive his support. When elected to Congress I promise to serve with same level of integrity and dedication as Congressman Quinn,” said Jacobs.

Jacobs was endorsed on Tuesday by United States President Donald Trump. He has also received endorsements from House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), NYS Senator Patrick Gallivan (SD-59), and Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard.

Prior to serving in the Senate, Jacobs was the Erie County Clerk. Jacobs is the founder of Avalon Development, a local real estate company. He is also the founder of the BISON Scholarship Fund, a local charity that helps give children the ability to attend private and religious schools throughout Western New York.
