
Yesterday the Governor issued an executive order which requires that all non-essential businesses be reduced to 25% workforce capacity until further notice in response to efforts to contain COVID-19.
Here are the key points:
- This goes into effect on March 20th, 2020 at 8:00 pm
- All businesses and not-for-profit entities should utilize to the maximum extent possible any telecommunication and work for home procedures
- Non-Essential Businesses must reduce in-person workforce by 25%
- Essential businesses can remain at full operating capacity:
- Essential health care operations
- Laboratory and research services
- Essential infrastructure
- Utilities
- Airports
- Transportation infrastructure
- Essential Manufacturing
- Food processing
- Pharmaceuticals
- Grocery stores
- Pharmacies
- Trash collection services
- Mail and shipping services
- News media
- Banks and related financial institutions
- Providers of basic necessities to economically disadvantage populations
- Construction
- Vendors of essential safety services and products
- Sanitation and essential operations of residences and essential businesses
- Logistics and technology support providers
- Childcare
- Services needed to maintain government operation
